Welcome to our new website. First of all, please allow me to take this time to wish each and every member of the American Legion Department of Georgia family a very Happy New Year.

My motto this year has been, “Preserving the Past by Securing the future”.

Together we have made strides the first six (6) months of the current legion year by all of our efforts in membership, the programs we administer, and our overall assistance to the veterans and community we serve.

One of my goals this year was to update our website to make it more viable and user friendly.  With this new edition of the website, we think we have done that.  If you have any comments, either good or bad, that you want to share, please let me know. Other changes are forthcoming that will improve or enhance what we do as a Department, and I look forward to sharing them with you as we implement them.

We will definitely strive to “Secure the Future” by keeping up with modern technology to ensure we give our veterans the best possible service and support they need.  Those who came before us should all be commended for giving us the roadmap to what we do today.  Reaching out to them by doing a “Buddy Check” and a simple “Hello” would go a long way.
