Welcome to the Dept of GA – Adjutant’s Corner!
The DOG Executive Committee has appointed Jim Fultz as the Department of Georgia Adjutant
The DEC voted to appoint Jim Fultz as the new Department of Georgia Adjutant, effective July 27, 2025.
As of 21 Aug 2025
I am your newly appointed Department Adjutant, and I want to “Thank you” and your representatives on the Department’s Executive Committee for putting their trust in me. One of the missions of the American Legion Department Headquarters is to provide administrative support to the nearly 31,000 members, along with the Department Commander and the Department Executive Committee. I pledge to you that the staff at Department Headquarters will do everything possible daily to accomplish and fulfill this mission. As I embark on this new journey as the Department Adjutant, the staff at Department Headquarters and I will hold ourselves accountable to all its members. You deserve quick and accurate responses to your requests, emails, and phone calls, and you will get that. Post and District Commanders are requested and should use your chain of command when seeking operational help and support. However, the Department headquarters will always be available to assist in answering your questions and we will refer you to the proper entity if need be.
The American Legion is a business, and our business is VETERANS. Let’s all strive to be good Servant Leaders at all levels and make the Department of Georgia the best Department in the nation.
Any suggestions, comments, and ideas to improve the efficiency of this department are welcome. .
Looking forward to a great year,
