CADET LAW INFORCEMENT PROGRAM

American Legion departments and posts partner with Youth Cadet Law Enforcement programs in cooperation with state and local law enforcement agencies, giving participants first-hand exposure to law enforcement operations.

High schools can recommend qualified students to their local American Legion post sponsoring the Youth Cadet Law Enforcement program. Students and schools interested in participating should reach out directly to their local sponsoring post to get started.

The program is open to male and female high school students who have completed their junior year and are in good academic standing. Applicants should demonstrate strong moral character and a genuine interest in the law enforcement profession.
